'The' solution for foreign small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): - (prac- tical support)

  • First we have to have in mind that
  • - more than 95 % of all European enterprises belong to the 'SME'-size
  • - an SME has in general only limited resources for marketing matters
  • - the WORLD does not consist of your national market place but that all of us have to internationalize to guarantee survival - and
  • - everybody has the same question: 'What do I have to do to implement this at the minimum cost and without having problems ?'

In addition we have to see that the other world-markets are enormous - see also world markets - and therefore a strategic and targeted treatment is of utmost importance.

As a general rule we say in Europe that - due to the size of the respective home-market - the international business 'must reach at least' 30 - 40 % of the total turnover. This avoids dependence on any one market/market-segment, increases the flexibility and makes the company more 'attractive' in general as well as more recognized as a 'good' company.

My web-presentation offers a very detailed insight into a broad spectrum of possibilities in international business and shows YOU what I have done so far. As it had, however, not only been elaborated for SMEs I have added nearly all my experience - if this is possible at all after doing international marketing tasks for more than 30 years !?

I know: This could even lead so far that people say: 'That seems to be a bit to big for me and ... what are the cost for something like that !!?'

Some of them are even so frightened/dismayed that they do not ask or assume that this can't be paid at all.

And ... thus they do not even look at my page giving the fee-information.

Of course that's really a pitty and so I will try to give herafter a short break-down of the tasks absolutely necessary. More information is available at Marketing a 'Magic formula' or in the NEWS - or directly from me.


All of that should only serve as an overview of my past experience and 'convince' you that I can help !! There is no persuasion - just facts !

My opinion for SMEs:

  • 1. First of all it is important for me to 'understand' what you have done so far and why, in order to get an overview.
  • Therefore I offer a visit at a special rate (anywhere in the world !), the result of which will be a summary of my impressions - of course still relatively 'neutral' - which will serve as a basis for further discussions.
  • 2. The second step, provided you are open and realize the chances 'going global' - or to Europe, would be that we discuss - based on my first findings and including YOUR detailed opinion - what/how we do best, having your budget in mind. This includes all and every marketing task - whether in your place or here in Europe - as all of that is part of my specific experience, however, everything again purely depending on YOUR possibilities/ needs.
  • Especially for YOU - but also for me of course - it is very important to figure out at the very beginning possibly existing risks - without that I would not take over any assignment as both of us need to be successful.
  • 3. Only thereafter we are having a contractual agreement regarding
  • - the targets to be reached/pursued
  • - the time needed and
  • - the cost

  • 4. Finally we start to implement what we agreed
